I will be doing some serious updating today and Sunday. There are plenty of fantastic yarns here that have not gone into the shop yet.

Updated today was Lovesticks self striping! Katie sent us some wonderfully soft BFL self striping yarns in really cute Christmas Colourways! Perfect for this time of year!

I have also updated the Malabrigo Lace Section with some stunning new colourways.

Still on it’s way is the Fleece Artist Thrummed Mitten and Thrummed sock kits, Fleece artist Merino Silk Roving and Hip Knits Aran Silk.

I will be doing some great gift ideas next week, but here is my first one:

Dream in Color Smooshy  is back in stock in every colour. I adore this yarn it is just simply amazing to knit with. This will be the last time I receive this yarn for 2007 so check them out before they are gone.
We were also so excited to receive our new shipment of  Camel Spin from Handmaiden . This yarn is very soft and boasts a content of 70% silk and 30% Camel. What more could a knitter ask for? The skeins are a generous 100 grams.

We also have a new Mystery Dyer! The last dyer sold out so quickly that we thought we would put up our next dyer right away. The skeins are beautiful!

Finally, I have dyed up a bunch of new Sweet Lace . Most of the new colours are one of two of a kind and will not be repeated. I hope you will check them out.

We also have a new Mystery Dyer! I have changed the format a bit. The Mystery Dyer no longer has free shipping. I found that many of you would order it with other skeins so I wanted you all to have the option. I have also started adding clues to the Mystery Dyer!

There are so many things brewing over here. Hopefully I will be able to tell you about some of them soon!

I will be showing actual knitting and spinning content in the near future! I have been doing a lot of both, but have just not shared any of it with you..shame on me!

Ok some little and I mean little progress on my Koi Knee Highs

Progress has been…well none…due to all the work on my March Sweater Madness Sweater.

This is the front…right before I divided it to work the neckline decreases. The Shelridge farms is amazing! There is a slight and beautiful variation in the pink. I have made the sweater big enough for a nice an baggy sweater..perfect with jeans…I can’t wait to wear it.

I have many other plans for the shelridge yarns…they are simply wonderful and the yardage is great. Needless to say this has slowed my Koi knee high progress.

I decided to work on them today as I was really itching to work on some socks and as most of you know have a soft spot for knee highs! I am planning on incorporating a lace pattern into the side of the sock..but have yet to decide what I want.

I also have a pair of socks going in Heather’s Cupid colourway…I’m calling them Stupid Cupid…I know…clever!

In shop news…I was dyeing up a storm this weekend and will have new merino/tencil Semi Solids for you late this week as well as some varigated sweet socks and maybe some fine fingering semi solids if I can find the time to wind it all.

A few emails came in letting me know that yarns are on their way into the store, these yarns should be up next week:

All Things Heather, Seacoast, sKNITches varigated, and Brooklyn Handspun.

I will let you know when they go up…and try to keep my hands off them as much as possible…no promises.

Sorry for the delay in blogging…I was hit by the nasty cold that is going around.

I promised a picture of the rovings I received from an new hand dyer that will be sending us some rovings of our very own shortly and here it is…it was a silly day…still on meds!

As you will again notice..Simon is walking through the picture…atleast he was not sniffing the roving in this one.

I will be keeping the dyer a secret for a little bit…but I am thrilled to have her working on some rovings for us!

In other news…MYSTERY DYER #2 is here ! Oh the skeins are so pretty! They will be shipping out on Monday and there are only 3 left!

We also received a shipment of C*EYE*BER FIBER YARNS last week with new limited edition yarns and then just today we got some amazing Project Bags handcrafted by Mama E Herself!

Lots of yarns on the way…coming in soon are some cotton/lycra yarns from Mama E, Brooklyn handspun and sKNITches Varigated yarns.

For those of you who missed the Yarntini update, jessie has let me know she will be sending us another order in March of her varigated yarns…whoot!

Today was a very exciting mail day chez Sweet Sheep.

I just have to say MYSTERY DYER SKEINS ARE HERE!!!!!

Oh and they are just lovely!

I also received some beautiful rovings from a new hand dyer that will be sending us some rovings that you can have for your very own. I will photo the ones that she sent me…but I will not part with them…I love them!

Also a wonderfully kind Debbie send some beautiful books to add as a prize to the March Sweater Madness event which is now underway. I finished the back in a weekend…whoot!  We are having a blast and I will probably do one of these type of events again.

And to keep the sunshine rolling I also received more Spritely Goods batts that will go up this afternoon to replenish our stock.

On our way we are still expecting Yarn Pirate, Brooklyn Handspun, Seacoast yarns, All things Heather, an order of sKNITches Varigated yarns!!

I will also be able to announce one of my secrets…I have been working hard on it and hope you like it!

Our first round of mystery dyer skeins was from the talented Sam at sKNITches!

She dyed this beautiful varigated colourway called KOI Pond.

The next Mystery Dyer is on sale...I am expecting the skeins late next week!

The first round of the fiber club went out this week. I will post a photo on the blog of this month’s offerings once it has all been received! There is still time to get in for the last 2 months!

This weekend I had some time to knit and spin and have been wanting to make some fingerless gloves…but yarn needle combinations have not been in my favor…until now…

 Here is the first of my “Wicked” gloves.

I simply followed the guidelines on the Knit and tonic blog.

It was incredibly simple…thank you Wendy!

The yarn is All Things Heather in Sport Weight on 3mm dpn’s

 I was considering doing the glove in sock weight

But alas, I was in love with the wicked colourway. This project was very quick, I whipped this baby off in a few hours. The second is on the needles and will be finished this week.

Not much time to knit when the harlot stops by, but I am so thrilled we are raising money for charity.

I hope it feels as good in your soul as it does in mine!

The Club will run in two rounds for 4 months each.
The First Round will run February, March, April and May. You will receive one semi solid yarn hand dyed by the Sweet Sheep herself for each month.
I decided to go with semi solid yarns because there are so many beautiful patterns out now the just scream to be knit with a nice semi solid yarn.
The Cost of the club is $110.00 for 4 months which includes shipping.
There are limited spots availible. I will also be offering a few spots for the full 8 months for $200.00.
