It has been all updating all the time around here…knitting content coming soon…I just have so many awesome yarns/fibers to get up for you!

All the beautiful BFL’s are up here!
I am also working on getting some awesome Pigeonroof Siren Two with cashmere up today…doing my best…if not today then for sure tomorrow…I will post and let you know…Happy FRIDAY!
Also, in some kind of fit of insanity (I call it wedding brain) I forgot to mention that we have some beautiful new superwash merino rovings from Lovesticks...totally new to us!
New yarns are up from The YoYo in an awesome Superwash Merino/Nylon fingering weight!

Not only are the yarns fantastic, but Alyson’s colourway names always crack me up...worth checking out!

Funky Carolina and The Sweet Sheep team up again for some cross country fiber fun!
This club will run 2 months May and June, but you will receive not 2 but 4 braids of fantastic combed top! Your first shipment will contain one braid of Funky Carolina fiber and one braid of Sweet Sheep fiber…one month…two colourways! The club will be shipped at the later end of May and June.
The Fibers will be the same for each dyer so you will receive 2 of the same fiber, but 2 different colourways, just in case you want to spin them together!
Braids will be shipped together from Texas so there won’t be too many packages to keep track of and the colourways are sure to rock your socks! As this is a cross country club spots will be limited. This is a wicked awesome price for 4 fibers! One month will be a luxury fiber and one month will be a surprise that we haven’t even decided on yet as well as an extra little something in June.
Thanks for looking! Please let me know if you have any questions.
Things are moving so quickly around here..well..mostly things that I want to move slowly…and the things that need to move fast…arn’t.
The garter spinning is almost done…this was my first time spinning so close to lace weight and whew does it take a log time, but look, I am ready to ply!

I hope there is enough yarn here…I will be crocheting my garter..I fell in love with this pattern
It is fantastic and I am hoping my rusty crochet skills will get me through it.
As for the shawl, I have ripped and restarted it SO MANY TIMES! In a desperate effort I emailed Anne for some guidance and I think she had me on the right track…however I am keeping my lips sealed until I make some more progress…I don’t want to jinx it!
The wedding is only 1 month and 19 days away…I can’t believe it…so much to do..but it is all fun!
The last of the Yarntini is up. It will probably be a while before I have anymore so go grab some of this beautiful Stuff!
Also I have put up a new item in the hand dyed spinning fiber section. I am now offering custom spin a sweater kits.

Right now there are 4 colourways available, but I would be happy to work with you on custom colourways…check it out!
In knitting news and I am making slow progress on the shawl…it has been ripped out 4 times and I finally picked another pattern…finally…so updates on that soon!
Drawing closer to the actual wedding date I am starting to realize that I have not gotten all of the things done knitting wise that I wanted. So I am focusing on my wedding knitting/crafting. Let me tell you…this is a very handcrafted wedding…from the invitations all the way down to the garter.
I decided I wanted a handspun handknit garter, so I went through my blank fiber stash and found the perfect fiber, a Merino/Tussah Silk blend and dyed 2 oz in a wonderfully bright turqoise!

I re dyed the fiber twice to make sure it was the colour I wanted…something very saturated with blue. She dried up into this great braid.

I love how close to a solid it came out…perhaps that was me over dyeing it but either way I am very happy with the finished fiber.
99.9% of the time I do not predraft…I was taught to predraft when I was spinning, but after a spin session with Funky C (who rarely predrafts) I agreed with her that for my spinning purposes I get a much more even fiber by not predrafting…it’s a personal preference. However, with that said I predrafted this fiber for one reason only…lace. I am attempting to get a lace weight on a non laceweight flier and so I made all of these lovely puffs for easier thin spinning!

I love fiber puffs!
