Run For the Cure

I am so honoured to be running for the cure with the Knitty.com team in Toronto.

Breast Cancer is something that has touched us all in some way or another and I would love to tell stories to my grandchildren of how we fought and came up with a cure for this heartbreaking cancer.

I am once again calling on the kindness and power of knitters to show your support. And just because we all love yarn, I will be putting together a beautiful PINK package of yarn and goodies as a prize!

For every $10 donated your name will be entered into the drawing for the Pink prize. I will be sourcing out some of my knitty friends to donate their wares to the prize package and will let you know as I have people committed.

Please help me raise money to STOP breast cancer in it’s tracks!

My Personal Donation Page is here

Thank you for your kind thoughts and support. And if you are in the area and want to join the team I am sure Amy would LOVE to have you!

  1. I just made a donation for you :) I’ve never been able to participate in this , but Breast Cancer is very near to my heart. I lost an Aunt (My Mom’s sister) to it many years ago. My Mother, and her other sister are both survivors as well as my Aunt’s Daughter. I hope you reach your goal, it’s a damn good cause! Good Luck! :)

  3. Cancer sucks. It hurts so many people and the only way to stop it is to fundraise and make the public aware. There have been so many great strides in finding the “cure” for many different types of cancers, this needs to continue but also new treatments need to be made to reduce the awful side effects and long tem effects that come with the current treatment.
