Cold + Freezing rain=1/2 a sweater

I try not to complain about winter too much…I’m Canadian, it snows…I get that. However, this year I think Mother Nature is getting a bit out of hand.

That’s a lot of snow! We went up north this weekend for some wintery fun, but just got freezing rain instead. Luckily for me I brought knitting. Here is my weekend progress

Yeah, that’s half a handspun sweater! I adore knitting handspun sweaters and although spring is coming (technically..see above) I still have several more I want to knit!

I am planning on bringing back MARCH SWEATER MADNESS!!  Stay tuned for info!

  1. Looking good! How much roving did you start with? I’d love to spin yarn for a sweater! I only have like 8 and 4 oz rovings, so I’m sure I need to buy a bunch more than that!

  2. Lovely sweater! I have roving I want to spin for one, but I’m waiting a bit… I’d like either more than one bobbin I can use on my wheel, or a real bobbin winder. :(
